2009 Kerth Awards Ceremony

View the side by side logs of past ceremonies!
Please be patient while they load.

2003 | 2004 | 2005 | 2006

Stay tuned for the 2009 awards to be held on
Saturday, April 4th at time to be determined

Be sure to join us! We'll be on an Undernet server on:

#kerthawards (the moderated ceremony channel)

and also in #kerthchat (for everyone to chat with each other while watching the ceremony)

Also, don't forget to download the wavs that will be used during the ceremony!

Listening to the sounds is half the fun!! Download them here:

http://www.lcficmbs.com/kerthawards/sounds.html

Remember: #kerthawards will be a moderated channel, so only the emcees, the presenters, etc. will be able to talk in that channel. But definitely join everyone in the crowd channel, #kerthchat, where everyone will be talking excitedly before, during, and after the ceremony! But hold onto your hats! The scroll can be fierce. :)

We look forward to seeing you there! But if you can't come, a log of the ceremony AND of #kerthchat will be posted here, and probably on the fanfic Archive, so you can read everything that happened. :)

[17:16] * Topic is 'Welcome to #kerthawards! Ceremony starts at 6:30pm EST Don't forget to join #kerthchat!'
[18:26] <@ELK> Welcome, everyone! We'll be starting the awards ceremony in about 5 minutes!
[18:29] * KarenT changes topic to 'Welcome to the 2009 Kerth Awards! We'll be starting momentarily. Don't forget to join #kerthchat!'

[17:16] * Topic is 'Welcome to #kerthchat! Ceremony starts at 6:30pm EST, don't forget to join #kerthawards!'
[18:15] <@KarenT> did the sound play?
[18:15] <LaraMoon> (and anyone else I missed while I was getting supper ready...)
[18:16] <LCArtemis> http://www.2006.altkerthawards.com/sounds.zip
[18:16] <hachiban> Is there somewhere I can get the alt-Kerth sounds? anybody?
[18:16] <LCArtemis> from saskia
[18:16] <hachiban> Saskia has them?
[18:16] <LCArtemis> Just posted Nan. You'll have to unzip them.
[18:16] <Wendymr> http://brianamj.dyndns.org/kerthsounds/sounds.zip <--Nan
[18:16] <LCArtemis> The http address just above
[18:16] <LCArtemis> http://www.2006.altkerthawards.com/sounds.zip
[18:16] <LCArtemis> or here
[18:17] <_Trinity__> omg... this is going to take forever to download. by the time i get them we'll be done
[18:17] <LCArtemis> I moved my sounds folder to the desktop. Is that right?
[18:17] <Julie_S> it has to be in the mIRC directory
[18:17] <@KarenT> Artemis's is smaller at 8megs
[18:17] <LCArtemis> The zipped ones are faster
[18:18] <LCArtemis> So that's in the mIRC program folder? It didn't work before
[18:18] <Saskia> if anyone needs the *AK* sounds, just IM me. For the rest, the general sounds are available from the above mentioned links
[18:19] <Julie_S> on the top panel in IRC, click on the button that opens received files
[18:19] <Julie_S> then go one level above that
[18:19] <Julie_S> the sounds folder should be there.
[18:19] <@KarenT> it's not in the program folder. it's in c:\documents and settings\your folder\Application Data\mirc
[18:19] <hachiban> Thanks. I'm downloading the zip file to my sounds folder. I'll put them in MIRC later, when I can find it.
[18:19] <lara_joelle> Besides, the sounds should be in the mIRC sounds folder, right?
[18:20] <Ximemia> Pull down Tools and select Options, then under Sounds select Requests. The folder shown needs to be the same folder where your sound .wav files are stored.
[18:20] <LCArtemis> Thank you Julie!
[18:21] * PinkEditor swaggers in and throws pink confetti
[18:21] <PinkEditor> I am being bad, using this name instead of my board name <dares TPTB to challenge her>

[18:25] <@KarenT> i think it should be okay

[18:40] <Meowoof> Hey!
[18:41] <Meowoof> Oh, am I up?
[18:41] <lara_joelle> Not yet.
[18:41] <jennidebb> Hi anonip and SMKfan
[18:41] <Meowoof> Never mind.
[18:41] <@KarenT> not yet :-)

[18:41] <@Triciaw> Next we have Saskia presenting Best Short Story
[18:41] * +Saskia stumbles up the stage, half asleep
[18:41] <+Saskia> Good morning, everyone!
[18:42] <+Saskia> I should apologise in front. It's really late (or early, depending on your point of view) here, and I am already sleep deprived, so I may not be too coherent anymore...
[18:42] * @KarenT quietly passes over a cup of caffeine
[18:42] <+Saskia> Anyway, I am here to present the Kerth for Best Short Story. These stories are between 11 and 50 kb. A rather nice length, if you ask me. Not too short, but also not so long that it takes several parts to post. Ideal for person like me, who reads in more than one fandom...
[18:42] <+Saskia> But I'm moving away from my point.
[18:42] <+Saskia> This year we have seven nominees who made the choice for the voters very hard.
[18:43] <+Saskia> There's Cupid's Drop Box by LaraMoon. A lovely waffy piece set around Valentine's Day. A Message Board has been set up to leave notes for your loved one. And Clark is writing an article about it for the paper. But what he finds are all the messages left for Superman... and then Lois offers to help with his article.
[18:43] <+Saskia> There's also Games People Play by EditorJax. Clark takes Lois to a basketball game between their old university teams. Lois' competitive strike rears its head and after her team lost its advantage, she proposes a bet... lunch to buy for Clark or... something nice from Lois? A cute story with an adorable ending.
[18:43] <+Saskia> Next there's Last Call Casualty by Sue S. Another excellent story with a waffy feeling. Clark comes home late one night after a rescue when he finds several calls from Lois on his answering machine... the last one being one where she declares she loves him. Clark finds out where she is and goes to take her home from the bar where she got drunk. But as he puts his hand on her back, Lois feels pain and Clark is in for a surprise when she tells him the
[18:44] <+Saskia> Up next is Newton's Law by BJ. Lois and Clark are out on an investigation, and Lois pretends to be asleep so she can study Clark. A silent communication follows, in which many things happen, including revelations and kissing. An unusual set-up with a sweet ending.
[18:44] <+Saskia> Then there's Rain by EditorJax. A rather bittersweet story set against a story day in June. Lois is feeling down about not being pregnant yet and about the chance of it ever happening. Her mood is quite similar with the weather outside... but then Clark joins her.
[18:44] <+Saskia> And finally there's Superheroes R Us by Erin Klingler. A funny and waffy story at the same time. Lois needs to find a present for Clark's upcoming birthday. She finds a website that makes Superman dolls with the faces of other people on it. So Lois orders a Clark Superman doll... but the result is rather shocking when the package arrives. A great story to tell their grandchildren at some time follows.
[18:44] <+Saskia> Very hard choice indeed. But somebody has to win, so let's take a look at the winner.
[18:44] <+Saskia> Or can I declare it to be a seven-way tie???
[18:44] <@Triciaw> If only we could!
[18:45] <+Saskia> No? *sigh*
[18:45] * +Saskia grabs envelope
[18:45] <+Saskia> And the winner of Best Short Story is:
[18:45] <+Saskia> Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
[18:46] <+Saskia> Huh? Huh? What?
[18:46] * @KarenT nudges Sas
[18:46] <+Saskia> Oooh! I'm so sorry! But I did warn you in advance...
[18:46] * @KarenT points to the envelope
[18:46] * @ELK shakes Saskia to wake her up
[18:46] <+Saskia> So the winner is:
[18:46] <+Saskia> Last Call Casualty by Sue S!
[18:46] <+Saskia> congrats Sue!

[18:41] <SMKfan> Hi everyone!
[18:41] <carolm> uh oh someone get her a cup of coffee or something
[18:42] <angelaffxman> Where is saskia from?
[18:42] <Julie_S> the Netherlands
[18:42] <Meowoof> I'm sleep deprived and it's evening here.
[18:43] <jennidebb> Saskia is an hour later than I am
[18:43] <angelaffxman> I'm sleep deprived too...
[18:43] <LCArtemis> It's still daylight here
[18:44] <@KarenT> it's daylight here for a little bit longer
[18:44] <darthmike> yeah, sleep
[18:44] * darthmike sighs dreamily
[18:44] <@KarenT> ol
[18:44] <@KarenT> lol, too
[18:45] <jennidebb> lol Saskia
[18:45] <Shayne> heh
[18:45] <LaraMoon> hehehe
[18:45] <angelaffxman> I think lara will win
[18:45] <@KarenT> Good luck, everyone!
[18:45] <carolm> sas!
[18:45] <LaraMoon> lol! Sas!
[18:45] <BJ________> someone poke her with a stick
[18:46] * carolm tosses tomato towards stage
[18:46] * Julie_S shakes Sas awake
[18:46] <angelaffxman> If the drums didn't wake her...
[18:46] <angelaffxman> lol!
[18:46] * LCArtemis POKE
[18:46] * lara_joelle empties bucket of cold water on Saskia
[18:46] <angelaffxman> She's back...
[18:46] <AnKS> passes smelling salts
[18:46] <angelaffxman> Oh, come on!

[18:47] <@Triciaw> Congratulations Sue! Do we have someone who would like to accept Sue's award?
[18:47] * KarenT changes topic to 'Best Short - Last Call Casualty by Sue S'
[18:47] <+PinkEditor> I am here on behalf of Sue
[18:47] <+PinkEditor> she is at a family function
[18:47] <+PinkEditor> clearly her priorities are all messed up
[18:48] <@Triciaw> LOL!

[18:49] <Saskia> Thanks Karen!
[18:49] * Saskia hands in her pillow as well

[18:49] <@Triciaw> Thanks, Jenn! And now we have Lara presenting Best Mid Length
[18:49] <+LaraMoon> Hi everyone! :)
[18:49] <+LaraMoon> Well, I could get all technical and tell you that "the Best Mid-Length category rewards stories of any subject or tone, which range in length from 50 to 200k" - but...I won't.
[18:50] <+LaraMoon> Mid-Length stories usually span a few chapters - which authors often end with the evilest of cliffhangers. You know who you are...
[18:50] <+LaraMoon> And while some of these stories are still short enough to be read in one sitting (the shortest nominated one has just a little over thirty pages) some of them are very close to novel-length (the longest nominated story lasts a bit over one hundred pages) - that's a whole lotta words! And a whole lot more of Lois & Clark to enjoy.
[18:50] <+LaraMoon> This year's nominees for Best Mid-Length Story are:
[18:50] <+LaraMoon> Death in the City, by Dandello
[18:50] <+LaraMoon> Flawed, by MetroRhodes
[18:50] <+LaraMoon> It's a Big Bed, by Carol M
[18:50] <+LaraMoon> Luck and Consequences, by Bob Bartholomew
[18:50] <+LaraMoon> The Bombshell, by Terry Leatherwood
[18:50] <+LaraMoon> The I's Have It, by Sarah C.
[18:50] <+LaraMoon> Tuesday, by Rona V
[18:50] <+LaraMoon> Congratulations to you all!
[18:51] <+LaraMoon> And the winner, of the 2009 Kerth Award for Best Mid-Length Story is...
[18:51] <+LaraMoon> Flawed, by MetroRhodes

[18:49] <@KarenT> welcome!
[18:50] <LCArtemis> evil evil evil
[18:50] <angelaffxman> Bad bad authors!
[18:51] <LCArtemis> dang this was tough to choose
[18:51] <Saskia> good luck, all!
[18:51] <Meowoof> Well, well? And the winner is?
[18:51] <@KarenT> good luck, all!
[18:51] <LCArtemis> drumroll

[18:51] <@Triciaw> Congratulations MetroRhodes! Is there someone to accept the award?
[18:52] * KarenT changes topic to 'Best Mid-Length - Flawed by MetroRhodes'
[18:52] * @KarenT peers into the crowd
[18:53] <@KarenT> (this space filled by MetroRhodes' acceptance speech)
[18:53] <@ELK> LOl!
[18:53] <+LaraMoon> I'd run off with the award, but she would hate me... I'll run off stage instead.
[18:53] <@Triciaw> LOL! I'm sure she would want to thank everyone
[18:54] <@Triciaw> One of the most popular categories is Best Overall! This is where we choose our favourite story

[18:51] <angelaffxman> Congrats!

[18:54] <ELK> Awwww!
[18:54] <Julie_S> aww
[18:54] <@KarenT> it's burger king, but it's food :=D
[18:54] <Meowoof> Anyone else taking the opportunity to eat at such a fancy affair? giggles...

[18:54] <@Triciaw> Erin and myself are going to share segments from this year's nominations
[18:55] <@Triciaw> I'm up first! See who can recognise this story
[18:55] <@Triciaw> Lana's eyes seemed to harden. "This is a war, Lois Lane. You
[18:55] <@Triciaw> chose your side the moment you decided to get in bed with the
[18:55] <@Triciaw> enemy."
[18:55] <@Triciaw> Lois moved dangerously close to the green lines. "When I get out
[18:55] <@Triciaw> of here," she said in a low steady voice. "I'm going to kill
[18:55] <@Triciaw> you."
[18:55] <@Triciaw> Lana looked at her in awe. "Then, I guess I should make sure you
[18:55] <@Triciaw> don't get out." She lifted the remote again and pressed more
[18:55] <@Triciaw> buttons. Immediately, Clark began to scream.
[18:56] <@Triciaw> Lois spun around and moved to his side.
[18:56] <@Triciaw> "It won't be long now, Lois. We'll talk some more later."
[18:56] <@Triciaw> Lois tried to soothe Clark while watching Lana disappear around
[18:56] <@Triciaw> the corner. "Stay with me, Clark." She swore again and grimaced
[18:56] <@Triciaw> as his face contorted in pain. She could tell that he was trying
[18:56] <@Triciaw> to hold in the screams.
[18:57] <@Triciaw> Yes, it's Above Alt Else by Sunrei!
[18:57] <@ELK> Yay! Give those winners a prize :)
[18:57] <@Triciaw> And Lana was a meanie
[18:57] * @ELK tosses chocolate coins into the audience

[18:54] <angelaffxman> Best Overall comes up now?!
[18:54] <@KarenT> no, it's clips in the breaks
[18:54] <LCArtemis> Whipping to the end?
[18:54] <jennidebb> that's what I'm wondering?
[18:55] <_Trinity__> that's... soon.
[18:55] <Shayne> ok. I was surprised too
[18:55] <@KarenT> sorta like those movie award shows, where they sprinkle bits of best picture throughout the night
[18:55] <angelaffxman> Oh...
[18:55] <Saskia> break already?
[18:55] <@KarenT> yep
[18:55] <LCArtemis> Ah, need a little break sign or music
[18:55] <ELK> Oooh, it's a test!
[18:55]
[ELK SOUND]
[18:56] <Meowoof> Only Lois could kill Clark without K.
[18:56] <BJ________> oh, I know - It's Above Alt Else, right?
[18:56] <angelaffxman> Why does lana have to be so bad in this fandom? I kinda like her...
[18:56] <bobbart> Definately Above Alt Else
[18:57] <carolm> she's not *always* bad - just mostlyu
[18:57] <@KarenT> because AULana was a meanie
[18:57] <angelaffxman> Yeah, forgot about that...
[18:57] <@KarenT> which, I think, was the only time we saw her..
[18:57] <carolm> yeah it was karen
[18:57] * angelaffxman gives out candy to the winners
[18:57] <BJ________> an evil meanie
[18:57] <bobbart> No... This Lana was a deranged psyco!
[18:57] <BJ________> yum...

[18:58] <@Triciaw> Now Erin has one!
[18:58] <@ELK> A chocolate coin?
[18:58] <@ELK> No, Just kidding :)
[18:58] * @KarenT perks and looks
[18:58] <@KarenT> did someone say chocolate??
[18:58] <@Triciaw> A segment! LOL!
[18:58] <@ELK> Yes, I have a great excerpt to present!
[18:59] <@ELK> Let's see who can guess this one...
[19:00] <@ELK> -----
[19:00] <@KarenT> come back, Erin!
[19:00] <@Triciaw> I think Erin is having some technical issues
[19:00] <@Triciaw> Come back, we need you!
[19:01] <@KarenT> a few technical difficulties, that's all. Please be patient, folcs!
[19:01] <@Triciaw> We'll get Amber to present Best WAFFy and come back to Erin
[19:01] <@KarenT> wait, there she is!
[19:01] <@Triciaw> She's back
[19:02] <@Triciaw> Amber, we'll have your presentation
[19:02] <@KarenT> knew I was forgetting something there...
[19:02] <@KarenT> stupid microphones.. *bops it*

[18:58] <@KarenT> whew, my brain isn't total swiss cheese yet
[18:58] <Meowoof> Mine is.
[18:58] <BJ________> lol
[18:58] * @KarenT grins
[18:58] <Shayne> I wrote Lana as homicidal with brain cancer and with a mommy dearest vibe last year
[18:58] <Meowoof> Hmm.. I was just thinking about chocolate.
[18:58] <LaraMoon> chocolate? like... truffles? :whistles:
[18:59] <@KarenT> I've seen a couple of nice Lana stories
[18:59] <@KarenT> a few...
[18:59] * PinkEditor passes out leftover truffles from the shower today
[18:59] <angelaffxman> Ok, she was a meanie...not a psycho!
[18:59] <BJ________> I like the evil Lana stories best
[18:59] * @KarenT oooohs
[18:59] * lara_joelle throws chocolate coins on stage.
[18:59] <PinkEditor> Unlike the ones at LAFF, they don't look like poo
[18:59] <Meowoof> With Smallville and the comics making Lana sweet, we need some mean Lana stories.
[18:59] <PinkEditor> (they melted on the plane)
[18:59] <@KarenT> lol
[18:59] <AnKS> heh
[18:59] <LaraMoon> they might have looked like, but they tasted gooooood.
[18:59] <angelaffxman> The Comics had Lana shoot missiles, didn't they?
[18:59] <@KarenT> melted chocolate always does :-)
[19:00] <PinkEditor> well thank you. an extra one for you ;)
[19:00] <BJ________> I'm starting to drool over here
[19:00] <carolm> i admit to only having read zoom's reviews of smallville but that lana doesn't seem sweet to me...
[19:00] <Wendymr> going offline, guys. Have a good time - and good luck to everyone nominated!
[19:00] <@KarenT> doht
[19:00] <carolm> bye wendy!
[19:00] <LCArtemis> bye Wendy
[19:00] <Saskia> bye Wendy!
[19:00] <LaraMoon> bye Wendy!
[19:00] <@KarenT> bye, Wendy!!
[19:00] <carolm> erin!!!
[19:00] <BJ________> bye Wendy
[19:00] <Julie_S> bye Wendy!
[19:00] <Wendymr> bye!
[19:00] <Meowoof> Lana started out sweet on Smallville.
[19:00] <hachiban> bye!
[19:00] <lara_joelle> bye!
[19:00] <Meowoof> But not now.
[19:00] <angelaffxman> Bye wendy!
[19:00] * Wendymr (~wendy@H106.C204.cci.switchworks.net) Quit (Signed off)
[19:00] * ElisabethD8a (~all4_mr_d@68-188-54-23.dhcp.stls.mo.charter.com) Quit (Read error: Operation timed out)
[19:01] <bobbart> For the first few years, the Smallvalle Lana was sugar dipped in corn syrup.
[19:01] <angelaffxman> She is out of the picture anyway, in Smallville.
[19:01] <angelaffxman> There's just one thing i don't like about that show.
[19:01] <@KarenT> only one?\
[19:02] <LCArtemis> you beat me to it, Karen ;)
[19:02] <rkn> What? Everything?! (-;
[19:02] * @KarenT grins
[19:02] <Meowoof> Well?
[19:02] <angelaffxman> The star. I mean, Clark Kent/Superman is supposed to be... likeable.
[19:02] <LCArtemis> Actually this season isn't too bad
[19:02] * carolm is wtih rkn on that one...
[19:02] <Meowoof> I like this season. Clark finally has eyes for Lois.
[19:02] <AnKS> Lana has a few more episodes in the Smallville in Ireland / UK :(
[19:02] <angelaffxman> You know, the kind of person you want to make a friend.
[19:02] <LCArtemis> It's just not really a Superman story
[19:02] <jennidebb> is Ireland?
[19:02] <bobbart> I think that this might be the best seasom of Smallville ver. Probably because of almost no Lana.

[19:03] <+amberlea> Oh, it's my turn already? Oh. Well, I was in the middle of watching this show, and I'm really interested in it...
[19:03] <+amberlea> It's a nature show with that guy, Marlin Pfinch-Lupus. He's studying the WAFF, which is one of my favorite creatures. They're just such fuzzy balls of cuddliness, you know?
[19:03] <+amberlea> Anyway, he's been studying several different specimens ñ I think he said 6 ñ in order to better understand their characteristics and appeal.
[19:04] <+amberlea> Because it's true. WAFFs are better than puppies or kittens.
[19:04] <+amberlea> So the first WAFF he talked about sounded really great. It was all about curiosity and learning new stuff, and it was pretty smart, too. And in the end, even though it was a little impulsive, it found its true love.
[19:04] <+amberlea> And who doesn't love that?
[19:04] <+amberlea> And then there was another WAFF that was great for illustrating how the creatures take care of each other. This one was a little more mature than the previous one, but Marlin explained how they always have each other for support, which makes their love stronger.
[19:05] <+amberlea> One of the best things about WAFFs is that there's just no way to get tired of them! (Plus they're much less work than puppies or kittens.)
[19:05] <+amberlea> The next WAFF was really competitive in all aspects of life. But it was great because the competition was one that both creatures won. Often, the WAFFs are all about kissing, and kissing is always a safe bet to make.
[19:05] <+amberlea> There's a lot of love when you're talking about WAFFs.
[19:05] <+amberlea> Sometimes the WAFFs get a little crazy, which is pretty fun to watch. Sometimes that helps them clear the air and be able to make important decisions. Marlin observed that tattoos can look pretty good on them, too.
[19:05] <+amberlea> I'm pretty sure there are never enough WAFFs around. They're even cuter than Tribbles.
[19:06] <+amberlea> Other times, a WAFF just has to say what it feels, which can be hard for it. Fortunately, finding its love is such a strong force that a WAFF will say things despite itself. It's not uncommon for jealousy to play a role when that happens.
[19:06] <+amberlea> WAFFs just make you feel so...well...warm and fuzzy!
[19:06] <+amberlea> There was one more WAFF Marlin talked about. It was experiencing a turning point in its life, during the holidays. It made a big decision, and you could just tell that it would soon find its love.
[19:06] <+amberlea> You know, I could probably just set my DVR to record this show...there, all set. Sorry about that.
[19:06] <+amberlea> So, the nominees for Best WAFFy Story are:
[19:07] <+amberlea> Cupid's Drop Box by LaraMoon
[19:07] <+amberlea> Fuel by Mrs. Mosley
[19:07] <+amberlea> Games People Play by EditorJax
[19:07] <+amberlea> Last Call Casualty by Sue S.
[19:07] <+amberlea> Me and My Big Mouth by Julie Stars
[19:07] <+amberlea> and Resolutions by EditorJax
[19:08] <+amberlea> And the answer...I mean, and the winner is...
[19:08] <+amberlea> Last Call Casualty by Sue S.!
[19:08] <+amberlea> Congratulations, Sue!

[19:03] <jennidebb> real Ireland, or just pretend?
[19:03] <angelaffxman> That was what reeve did, and that's what Cain did.
[19:03] <AnKS> huh?
[19:03] <angelaffxman> In a way, i really really don't like Welling as Clark Jent.
[19:03] <angelaffxman> *kent.
[19:03] <jennidebb> oh, right. You mean showing in Ireland
[19:03] <AnKS> I meant the episodes broadcasted there
[19:03] <angelaffxman> He just doesn't have the vibe for it.
[19:03] <LaraMoon> he's so emo... but he's cuuuute
[19:03] <@KarenT> nah
[19:03] <jennidebb> sorry, my brain turned to mush there
[19:04] <LCArtemis> lol
[19:04] <AnKS> ryt :)
[19:04] <@KarenT> lol
[19:04] <Saskia> LOL!
[19:04] <rkn> Wellings okay, he's just not Dean
[19:04] <BJ________> LOL
[19:04] <LCArtemis> And a pile of WAFFs would be......
[19:04] <angelaffxman> No one is like Dean!
[19:05] <@KarenT> except maybe Brendan Fraser
[19:05] * @KarenT goes off into la-la land
[19:05] * @KarenT blinks and shakes herself. sorry about that
[19:05] <AnKS> lol
[19:05] <LaraMoon> Tribbles?
[19:05] <LaraMoon> oooh
[19:06] <@KarenT> lol
[19:06] <LCArtemis> ohhhh
[19:06] <BJ________> shudders at image of Tribbles with tatoos
[19:06] <angelaffxman> What are tribbles?
[19:06] <rkn> Yeah, I like to watch George of the Jungle and it certainly isn't becuse of the great plot.
[19:06] <LCArtemis> Star Trek
[19:06] <Meowoof> Tribbles and Truffles.
[19:06] <@KarenT> Star Trek reference. Tribbles were soft furry creatures that everyone likes
[19:06] <@KarenT> until they multiplied worse than rabbits
[19:06] <bobbart> Don't forget the great Klingon tribble hunt!
[19:07] <angelaffxman> First folcs, then trekkies...
[19:07] <@KarenT> nice, amber!!
[19:08] <AnKS> heh
[19:08] * @KarenT giggles
[19:08] <BJ________> it was really hard to vote for just one

[19:08] <@Triciaw> Congratulations, Sue! :)) Jenn, do you want to accept the award on her behalf?
[19:08] * KarenT changes topic to 'Best Waffy - Last Call Casualty by Sue S'

[19:10] <@Triciaw> Jenn, are you there?
[19:10] <+SueStandIn> I would like to say thanks again
[19:10] <+SueStandIn> (Sue didn't think she'd win)
[19:10] <+SueStandIn> so this is one of those times I can say HA, you were wrong

[19:08] <BJ________> ;)
[19:09] * @KarenT grins
[19:09] <angelaffxman> It seems that except Sue and Clark, the Kerth Awards also like drunken Lois...
[19:09] <@KarenT> finger slipped
[19:09] <@KarenT> Jenn?
[19:09] <PinkEditor> Oh yeah
[19:09] <PinkEditor> sorry I was drinking my chai

[19:10] * PinkEditor is now known as SueStandIn
[19:10] <carolm> LOL!
[19:10] <Saskia> Well, I gotta be off now. Good luck to all the rest of the nominees. And for everyone else, have fun!!!
[19:10] <rkn> Chai? Where's the Oolong?

[19:11] <@Triciaw> Thanks, Jenn! And now we'll go back to Erin.
[19:11] <@ELK> Maybe. :) I'll give this a 2nd try :)
[19:11] <@ELK> From one of the Best Overall Stories, here is the excerpt. See if you know it!
[19:11] <@ELK> Unfortunately, my well placed kick didn't meet its target.
[19:11] <@ELK> Instead of hearing the satisfying thump, and following groan of
[19:11] <@ELK> pain, I ended up sprawled on the pavement with a wicked pain
[19:11] <@ELK> shooting through my right ankle. I looked up...and saw Him.
[19:12] <@ELK> He was hovering at least a foot in the air, his cape flapping in
[19:12] <@ELK> the breeze. My two would-be muggers were hanging by their
[19:12] <@ELK> collars which he held tightly in his grasp.
[19:13] <@ELK> His immaculate red and black uniform proclaimed his identity: Supernova, the only son of Superman: defender of Truth, Justice and the American Way. And then there was me, sitting in a puddle with a twisted ankle.
[19:13] <@ELK> "Are you all right?" he glanced over his shoulder down at me.
[19:13] <@ELK> His oh-so-kind-and-caring look, combined with his condescending
[19:13] <@ELK> questioning was enough to push me over the edge.
[19:13] <@ELK> "I was until you got here," I snapped. Slowly, I untangled my
[19:13] <@ELK> limbs and got to my knees. My ankle was still throbbing.
[19:13] <@ELK> Supernova blinked.
[19:13] <@ELK> "Excuse me?"
[19:13] <@ELK> "I'm perfectly capable of defending myself, Spaceboy. You had no
[19:13] <@ELK> reason to just barge in and push me out of the way."
[19:13] <@ELK> I picked up my purse, and shoved the scattered contents back inside. I
[19:13] <@ELK> briefly wondered if I was being a little ungrateful, but my
[19:13] <@ELK> wounded pride and matching ankle strengthened my irritation.
[19:14] <@ELK> Supernova bristled. "I saw a woman being mugged. Excuse me for wanting to help."
[19:14] <@ELK> There ya go! Anyone know it?
[19:14] * @ELK dangles a giant Hershey's bar in front of the crowd
[19:14] <@Triciaw> Chocolates to all those who guessed Honesty!! :))

[19:16] <+PinkEditor> It's not easy to be funny.
[19:16] <+PinkEditor> And half the time, when you wrote something funny, you sit there going OK, is that actually funny, or am I just a giant loser?
[19:17] <+PinkEditor> But these authors are able to pull it off -- and we're thankful.
[19:17] <+PinkEditor> the nominees for best comedy are
[19:17] <+PinkEditor> A Charred Day's Night - Jen D

[19:20] * @KarenT whispers "Okay, *now* you're up"
[19:20] <+Meowoof> I'm slow....
[19:20] <+Meowoof> A revelation story is one where someone learns the secret. They can be waffy and fun, serious and whammy, and sometimes involve an angry Clark!
[19:20] <@Triciaw> ROTFL!
[19:21] <+Meowoof> When Lois has problems falling asleep in the Lexor's honeymoon suite, she gets more food for thought than just a cup of warm milk.
[19:21] <+Meowoof> Who wrote that story?
[19:21] <+Meowoof> Feathers by Nan Smith
[19:22] <+Meowoof> Newton's Law #1: Inertia -- An object in motion will stay in motion. An object at rest stays at rest. But what happens when a mind in motion meets a body at rest, especially when the mind and body belong to Lois Lane?
[19:22] <+Meowoof> And this one?
[19:22] <+Meowoof> Newton's Law by BJ
[19:22] <+Meowoof> And... Turn your man into a superhero! Or your love life into a super mess....
[19:22] <+Meowoof> SuperHeroes R Us by Erin Klingler
[19:23] <+Meowoof> Lois Lane has a secret that dates back to the earliest days of her childhood; a secret she's kept all her life. Now a prize-winning reporter for the prestigious Daily Planet newspaper, her safe but solitary existence is shaken up by the arrival of a disturbingly handsome man.
[19:23] <+Meowoof> The Girl Next Door by Janet Owens
[19:23] <+Meowoof> And speaking of chocolate-- When silver boxes hold more than just chocolate.
[19:23] <+Meowoof> Truffles and Tribulations by Lara Moon
[19:24] <+Meowoof> One more... After her near wedding with Luthor, Lois doubts herself, her relationship with Clark, and her relationship with Superman. Maybe a little chat with the superhero could help her....
[19:24] <+Meowoof> Under the Light of a Dead Star by Poussin
[19:24] <+Meowoof> I think I'm bad at this! Giggles...
[19:24] <+Meowoof> And the winner is?
[19:24] <+Meowoof> The winner is...
[19:25] <+Meowoof> Okay, okay, okay!! The winner is: SuperHeroes R Us by Erin Klingler

[19:22] <@KarenT> bah
[19:22] <@KarenT> I was gonna say, nipple-man was NOT the best one. lol
[19:22] <carolm> as said by the linebacker guy in the snickers commercial
[19:22] <carolm> Superheroes R Us Erin!
[19:22] <@KarenT> ooh, forgot about him
[19:22] <carolm> I'm *bat*man!
[19:23] <LaraMoon> lol
[19:23] <angelaffxman> I think the best revelation ever, not super hero related, is... i am your father...
[19:23] <hachiban> Girl Next Door
[19:23] <Shayne> as opposed to "You are NOT the father"
[19:23] <@KarenT> Nooo! It's impossible!
[19:23] <Shayne> on talk shows
[19:23] <angelaffxman> LOL shayne!

[19:27] * carolm whispers something about a sequelt that needs writing

[19:28] <@Triciaw> We now have some more segments from Best Overall stories
[19:28] <@Triciaw> Do you know this one?
[19:28] <@Triciaw> She stopped when he squatted down next to her chair, taking her
[19:28] <@Triciaw> hands in his. "Lois." His eyes level with hers, he gazed at her
[19:28] <@Triciaw> seriously and said softly, "I *did* mean it.
[19:29] <@Triciaw> I *do* mean it. I
[19:29] <@Triciaw> want us to be together like that. I love you. I wantÃ-" He took a
[19:29] <@Triciaw> deep breath. "I want to marry you, Lois. I want us to be husband
[19:29] <@Triciaw> and wife. It feels like I've wanted that forever.
[19:29] <@Triciaw> ButÃ-" His mouth
[19:29] <@Triciaw> quirked into the beginning of a smile. "I didn't intend to
[19:29] <@Triciaw> propose to you in between stirring the pasta sauce. I meant to
[19:29] <@Triciaw> wait for a nice, romantic moment. SoÃ-"
[19:30] <@Triciaw> Yes! It's the Girl Next Door.
[19:30] <@Triciaw> Chocolates coming!

[19:27] * PinkEditor whispers to carol that she's right ....
[19:27] <angelaffxman> You know, she's got a point. You guys *are* the best.
[19:28] <angelaffxman> Girl Next Door.
[19:29] <angelaffxman> Isn't that it? I think that's it...
[19:29] <BJ________> Yeah, that's it. I read it again just a few days ago
[19:30] <angelaffxman> Yeah, now I can have a chocolate too!
[19:30] <@KarenT> hehehe
[19:30] * angelaffxman slurps
[19:30] <Meowoof> More chocolate. More chocolate.

[19:31] <@Triciaw> Erin, has another great story
[19:31] <@ELK> Yes, and it's awesome!
[19:31] <@ELK> see if you know this one:
[19:31] <@ELK> Lois felt dread rising in her chest like waves pounding on the rocks. It hadn't even occurred to her to wonder if they were married. But in that one moment, it felt as if the storm was about to crash in around her, drowning her in its turbulent waters.
[19:31] <@ELK> -----
[19:31] <@ELK> "No... well not yet," Mayson said.
[19:31] <@ELK> -----
[19:31] <@ELK> And suddenly, the seas calmed. But... what did 'not yet' mean? It was the same thing Dan had said. Still... those words could mean almost anything.
[19:32] <@ELK> -----
[19:32] <@ELK> "So are you enjoying the sessions?" Dan asked.
[19:32] <@ELK> -----
[19:32] <@ELK> "Very much. Larry Smiley certainly gives you a lot to think about," Mayson said.
[19:32] <@ELK> -----
[19:32] <@ELK> Lois fought the urge to roll her eyes. What did Smiley make Mayson think about? Harmonicity? Blunt speak? Larryisms?
[19:32] <@ELK> -----
[19:32] <@ELK> "I like the new haircut."
[19:32] <@ELK> -----
[19:32] <@ELK> Kent's softly spoken words caused Lois' eyes to finally connect with his.
[19:32] <@ELK> -----
[19:32] <@ELK> And time froze.
[19:32] <@ELK> -----
[19:32] <@ELK> "Well, I suppose we should..." Dan said, gesturing to the door to Smiley's cabin.
[19:32] <@ELK> -----
[19:32] <@ELK> Lois quickly broke eye contact with Kent - suddenly wondering how long they'd been staring at each other. She quickly shook herself free of whatever spell had overtaken her when her eyes had met Kent's. "It was nice seeing you. But Dan's right..."
[19:32] <@ELK> -----
[19:32] <@ELK> Without completing her thought, Lois slipped past the 'happy couple' on her way to the front door of the cabin. Suddenly, meeting with Smiley seemed the lesser of two evils.
[19:33] <@ELK> There ya go! I love that one!
[19:33] <@ELK> Yep, that's ML's There's No Place Like Home
[19:33] <@Triciaw> A fantastic story! :)

[19:30] <Meowoof> I
[19:31] <Meowoof> I've eaten enough chocolate in the past few days to last me a year.
[19:31] <angelaffxman> You can never have enough chocolate!
[19:31] <AnKS> no place like home
[19:31] <carolm> ML
[19:33] <PinkEditor> LOVE it
[19:33] <Shayne> I'm allergic to chocolate
[19:33] * carolm takes shayne's chocolate away
[19:33] * carolm keeps it
[19:33] * lara_joelle pities Shayne
[19:33] <BJ________> ack! how do you *LIVE*?

[19:34] <@Triciaw> Time for Best Episode Adaptation
[19:35] <@Triciaw> Michael, you're up!
[19:35] <+darthmike> okay
[19:35] <+darthmike> let's see if the second time goes better
[19:35] <+darthmike> Lois & Clark episodes... They're what first gave a voice to the characters and without them there wouldn't be any LnC fanfic. Or Kerths ;)
[19:36] <+darthmike> And yet, we can't keep from messing with them, now can we?
[19:36] <+darthmike> Whether it is because of a minor or major plot point we want to alter, because our respective muse (or delivery person) wants to make us suffer with a challenge, or simply because we want to torture them -
[19:36] <+darthmike> the characters, I mean.
[19:36] <+darthmike> Okay?
[19:36] <+darthmike> Not ever our gentle readers.
[19:36] <+darthmike> /me shakes head empathically
[19:36] <+darthmike> Ugh uh!
[19:36] <+darthmike> /me shakes head empathically
[19:36] <+darthmike> Ugh uh!
[19:36] <+darthmike> No author would ever do that.
[19:36] <+darthmike> Right?
[19:36] * +darthmike clears throat
[19:36] <+darthmike> Okay, where was I?
[19:36] <+darthmike> Oh, yes, the episodes and our obsession with constantly messing with them.
[19:36] <+darthmike> Which, by the way, is a very good thing, too, because each adaption gives us new insights, new laughs, or freshly chewed nails.
[19:37] * +darthmike pulls out another card
[19:37] <+darthmike> And the nominees for
[19:37] <+darthmike> -----------------------------
[19:37] <+darthmike> Best Episode Adaption
[19:37] <+darthmike> -----------------------------
[19:37] <+darthmike> are

[19:37] <+darthmike> Congrats, Nan

[19:34] <lara_joelle> un-chocolate-ly.
[19:34] <Meowoof> I'm allergic to chocolate, too. Take some Benadryl and eat it anyway.
[19:34] <@KarenT> very carefully?
[19:34] <carolm> lol!
[19:34] <@KarenT> my ex-roomie was allergic to chocolate. I couldn't even make brownies while he was there. It sucked
[19:34] <PinkEditor> you should have evicted him
[19:34] <PinkEditor> priorities, man.
[19:35] <angelaffxman> When i was younger, i didn't like chocolate.
[19:35] <ElisabethD8a> Every time Shayne says that I shudder.
[19:35] <angelaffxman> But now, i have seen the error of my ways...
[19:35] * @KarenT grins
[19:35] <@KarenT> we couldn't get rid of him
[19:35] <@KarenT> he was like a cat, just kept coming back
[19:35] <angelaffxman> He's back up?
[19:36] * @KarenT nods. A few people volunteered for several awards
[19:36] <angelaffxman> Oh Lord...have pity on us :-)
[19:36] <@Triciaw> LOL!
[19:36] <carolm> messing with them? Fixing them is more like it ;)
[19:36] <@KarenT> lol
[19:36] <hachiban> It's fun to mess with them! There are so many ways the story could have gone.!
[19:36] <@KarenT> with the characters or the readers??
[19:37] <BJ________> LOL
[19:37] * @KarenT thinks some authors like messing with the readers!
[19:37] <hachiban> Both <eg>
[19:37] <BJ________> readers, definitely
[19:37] <ElisabethD8a> We ought to have an award for the most evil author
[19:37] * carolm doesn't think any of those authors are here now
[19:37] * @KarenT raises an eyebrow

[19:37] <@Triciaw> Congratulations, Nan! :))
[19:37] * KarenT changes topic to 'Best Ep Adaptation - Feathers by Nan Smith'
[19:38] <@Triciaw> Nan, is here to accept! YAY
[19:38] <+hachiban> I didn't really even think I had a chance, considering the competition this year.
[19:38] <+hachiban> All the stories were so great, I had trouble choosing between them.
[19:39] <+hachiban> I really want to thank everyone who voted for my little story. I'm always thrilled when someone thinks I've written well, because one thing I love to do is tell a story that entertains.
[19:39] <+hachiban> Thank you all.

[19:37] <carolm> yay nan!!!!!
[19:37] <BJ________> Yvonne hasn't written a new story in a while

[19:38] <Meowoof> Congrats, Nan!
[19:38] * @KarenT snorts. Not all, not by any means
[19:38] <PinkEditor> pfft
[19:38] <carolm> depedns on how you define 'bad'
[19:38] <@KarenT> bad as in evil, not badfic
[19:38] <BJ________> If you haven't read all of Yvonne Connell's stories in the archive, go quickly
[19:38] <carolm> bad = horribly writte? not so much
[19:39] <jennidebb> congratulations Nan
[19:39] <carolm> bad = torture poor lois and clark and readers until all are screaming? yes
[19:39] <angelaffxman> I mean the really sad sad stories.
[19:39] <@KarenT> we have very few horribly written stories in this fandom. it's amazing, really
[19:39] <angelaffxman> Something like the 24 hours.
[19:39] <carolm> you do so very well nan!
[19:39] <BJ________> Thank *you*, Nan
[19:40] <Peg32> Congratulations, Nan.!!!
[19:40] <angelaffxman> Congrats Nan. That was a great story.

[19:40] <@Triciaw> Thanks, Nan! And congratulations! Erin is up next with Best Drama
[19:40] <@ELK> Ooh, Drama! One of my favorite categories!
[19:40] <@ELK> Drama is defined as "a series of vivid, exciting, or suspenseful events." The stories in this category exemplify that definition.
[19:41] <@ELK> From pulse-pounding action to heart wrenching angst, these stories delight us with twists and turns and unforeseen complications.
[19:41] <@ELK> The nominees for Best Drama are:

[19:46] <@Triciaw> Thanks, Erin and congratulations ML! Lara now has the Best Relationship story category.
[19:46] <+LaraMoon> thanks! and hi again!
[19:47] <+LaraMoon> Ah, relationships! They can be an awful lot of work - especially when one half is pretty much a workaholic, and the other half is, well... Lois Lane. But with these two, whether they're just friends - or a whole lot more - things are definitely never boring.
[19:47] <+LaraMoon> This is especially true when you put them in the hands of tonight's nominees, who have weaved stories that center around Lois and Clark's relationship.
[19:47] <+LaraMoon> Some start at the very beginning, with a first meeting, a first kiss, and a first declaration of love - others are set at a time when the characters are already in an established relationship. But whatever the setting, these are stories where the characters' relationship evolves, blossoms, and adapts to all sorts of situations that they are confronted to.
[19:47] <+LaraMoon> Stories that remind us of all the reasons why Lois and Clark are supposed to be together.
[19:47] <+LaraMoon> (Yes, yes, I actually said that... :cough: getting back on track...)
[19:48] <+LaraMoon> This year's nominees for Best Relationship Story are:
[19:48] <+LaraMoon> Above Alt Else, by Sunrei

[19:46] <hachiban> ML's stories are so intricately plotted. I betaed one for her, and it was fantastic.
[19:46] <jennidebb> ML has always paid a lot of attention to her plots

[19:53] <@Triciaw> You probably know what it is.
[19:53] <@Triciaw> "Lois?" he asked.
[19:53] <@Triciaw> The woman in his arms was visibly older than his Lois. She was in her forties and she'd grown if anything even more beautiful.
[19:53] <@Triciaw> She glanced down at his outfit and murmured, "What happened to your suit?"
[19:53] <@Triciaw> "Clark?"
[19:54] <@Triciaw> The voice in his headset was that of his own Lois.
[19:54] <@Triciaw> "Lois, I...um..." he said. He stepped quickly back from the older Lois.
[19:54] <@Triciaw> "There are two of you," the voice in his earpiece said. "Two of me, too."
[19:54] <@Triciaw> He glanced up sharply. "How do you know?"
[19:54] <@Triciaw> "We've been watching everything," she said. "The whole country has."
[19:54] <@Triciaw> It was then that he noticed the reporter and her camera crew rushing across the parking lot. He smiled weakly into the camera.

[20:02] <@Triciaw> ROTFL! Thanks Shayne and congratulations! Next is Erin with Best original/supporting character
[20:02] <@ELK> Okay! Best Original/Supporting Character. It's such a great category!
[20:03] <@ELK> We read fanfic because we love Lois and Clark, as well as the entire gang that we grew to know so well in the four seasons the show was on the air.
[20:03] <@ELK> But sometimes a fanfic writer surprises and delights us with a new character in their story, or brings a smaller character from the show into a greater role in their fanfic.
[20:03] <@ELK> This category celebrates the effort it took the authors to breathe life into a new character and make them leap off the page and into our hearts.
[20:04] <@ELK> The nominees for Best Original or Supporting Character are:
[20:04] <@ELK> Further on Down the Road by Terry Leatherwood, for the character of "Rebecca"
[20:04] <@ELK> Home: An Evening to Remember by Nan Smith, for the character of "Velma Chow"
[20:04] <@ELK> Home: Murder by Earthlight by Nan Smith, for the character of "Stephanie"
[20:04] <@ELK> Honesty/Fidelity/Strength by Beth Summerson, for the character of "Kaylee Stewart"
[20:04] <@ELK> and Welcome Wagon by AlonzoMosley FBI, for the character of Joseph Drayton
[20:05] <@ELK> And the winner of Best Original/Supporting Character is...

[20:11] <+PinkEditor> hey since she's not here, can I, um, hold onto the crown for her?

[20:12] <@KarenT> Since you just got it, sure. but only for a little while *stares*
[20:12] <@ELK> and to pry that crown out of Jenn's hands? <g>

[20:12] * +PinkEditor sulks out
[20:12] <@Triciaw> Pass it over, Jenn!
[20:12] * @KarenT whispers to Jenn "I think there's another one in the box"
[20:12] <@Triciaw> Alisha will find out

[20:14] <PinkEditor> and I would also like to say I am glad to not be on K-Comm and therefore the chosen one to go into labor this afternoon.
[20:14] <LCArtemis> lol
[20:14] * @KarenT snickers
[20:14] <@KarenT> I think we're safe this year
[20:14] <carolm> hehe
[20:14] <PinkEditor> Pam warned me about that curse.
[20:14] <LCArtemis> Erin remembers
[20:14] <angelamay04> I hate irc...
[20:14] <@Triciaw> Very safe!!!
[20:14] <@KarenT> Wasn't Erin hit twice?
[20:15] <ELK> three times, actually <g>

[20:15] <@Triciaw> Now we have the last category - Best Overall. Erin is going to present
[20:15] <@ELK> Yes, Best Overall Story! Arguably the biggest category of the night!
[20:15] <@ELK> Every once in a while we read a fanfic that really grabs us and works its way into our hearts.
[20:15] <@ELK> We print out those favorite stories, upload them to eBook readers, or download and save them to special folders because we want to read them over and over again.
[20:16] <@ELK> They are the stories that stick with us and make us remember why we fell in love with Lois and Clark in the first place. The five fanfics in this category have done just that.
[20:16] <@ELK> The nominees for Best Overall Story are:
[20:16] <@ELK> Above Alt Else by Sunrei
[20:16] <@ELK> Honesty by Beth Summerson
[20:17] <@ELK> The Girl Next Door by Janet Owens
[20:17] <@ELK> There's No Place Like Home by ML Thompson
[20:17] <@ELK> and Veritas by Shayne Terry
[20:17] <@ELK> and the winner of Best Overall Story is...
[20:17] <@ELK> There's No Place Like Home by ML Thompson!!!!!!!
[20:17] * KarenT changes topic to 'Best Overall - There's No Place Like Home by ML Thompson'
[20:17] <@Triciaw> Thanks Erin and Congratulations ML! :))

[20:15] <JulieS> well having a baby is not exactly a curse. think of it as a fandom-driven way to induce <G>
[20:15] * @KarenT grins
[20:15] <angelamay04> Ooh!Ooh!Best overall coming up!
[20:15] * angelamay04 is biting her nails.

[20:16] <Shayne> it's a first for me
[20:16] <PinkEditor> HA, Julie. So funny.
[20:16] <PinkEditor> Remember when yoou saw me in #loisclark at 2 a.m. the other night? I say CURSE.
[20:16] <@KarenT> well the pregnancy itself isn't a curse. It's the going into labor during the awards
[20:16] <JulieS> aww
[20:16] <Shayne> I have my suspicions about who will actually win, though
[20:16] <Shayne> and she's not me
[20:16] * @KarenT hums to herself
[20:16] <PinkEditor> Pam gave me a pep talk last night and told me that the baby DOES come out, and I can't change my mind at this point.
[20:16] <@KarenT> lol
[20:17] <carolm> nope sure can't jenn
[20:17] <PinkEditor> Come to think of it, that was kind of a crappy pep talk.

[20:17] <@KarenT> make sure to mention bodily harm
[20:17] <carolm> are there still folcs in loisclark regularly?

[20:18] <@Triciaw> Erin, do you want to accept for ML?
[20:18] <@ELK> I'd be honored!
[20:18] <@ELK> ML will be so excited when she hears she's won!
[20:19] <@ELK> I know she would want to thank everyone who helped her with this story on the MBs, and with all the support she gets from readers
[20:19] <@ELK> I can just imagine she'll be jumping up and down when she gets the news!
[20:20] <@Triciaw> Thank, Erin!
