But hopefully we&#8217;ve solved that problem! Each category now has a description that goes along with it to hopefully help you FoLCs understand what stories belong there. If there is still any confusion, feel free to email the Kerth Committee and ask. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>DISCLAIMER: The Kerth Committee does its best to keep these categories unchanged on the ballot, however, we may need to tweak category size requirements or to add, delete or combine categories in order to best represent the nominations that are submitted.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Super Short (1-10k):<\/span> Very short stories.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Short Story (11-50k):<\/span> Short stories of any subject or tone.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Mid-Length Story (51-200k):<\/span> Mid-length stories of any subject or tone.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best&nbsp;Epic (201+):<\/span> Long stories of any subject or tone.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Tearjerker:<\/span> Makes you cry.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Kiss:<\/span> Story where a kiss is exchanged between two characters No size restrictions.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Relationship:<\/span> A story that focuses on a relationship (romantic or platonic).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Revelation Story:<\/span> Stories which contain a revelation about Clark being Superman. The person finding out can be Lois or any other character.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Challenge&nbsp;Response:<\/span> Response to a challenge.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Villain<\/span> Only villains eligible for this category.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Original Character:<\/span> Rewards a special character from stories which strongly highlight a supporting character from the series or creates a new, interesting character that plays an important role in the story. No size restrictions. (Sorry, but versions &#8211; no matter how altered &#8211; of Clark or Lois do not qualify as Original or Supporting Characters).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Alt-Universe \/ Elsewhere \/ Next Generation:<\/span> Alternate Universe OR story where Lois and Clark are someplace else or somewhere else. Story with Lois and Clark&#8217;s children.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Series:<\/span> Any 2 or more stories related to one another posted to the boards\/ archive in the Kerth year.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Introspective:<\/span> A story that gets into the mind and motives of a character &#8211; ANY character, main or supporting.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Waffy:<\/span> Story that develops Warm and Fuzzy Feelings.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Character Development:<\/span> A story that shows a character&#8217;s growth over a period of time.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Comedy:<\/span> A humorous story. No size restrictions.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Episode Adaption:<\/span> Rewrite of an episode.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Drama:<\/span> Story with a dramatic story line.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Innovative Idea:<\/span> Story line that is an original creative idea.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Seasonal Story:<\/span> Story taking place around a holiday.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best New Author:<\/span> Limited to authors who first published their Lois &amp; Clark stories in the past year.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Best Overall Story:<\/span> A story of any type that is outstanding overall.
