But hopefully we&#8217;ve solved that problem!  Each category now has a description that goes along with it to hopefully help you FoLCs understand what stories belong there. If there is still any confusion, feel free to email the Kerth Committee and ask.  \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>DISCLAIMER:  The Kerth Committee does its best to keep these categories unchanged on the ballot, however, we may need to tweak category size requirements or to add, delete or combine categories in order to best represent the nominations that are submitted.<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#800000\">Best Micro Short (1-5k):<\/font> Very, very short stories.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Super Short (1-10k):<\/font> Very short stories.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Short Story (11-50k):<\/font> Short stories of any subject or tone.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Mid-Length Story (51-200k):<\/font> Mid-length stories of any subject or tone.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Epic (over 201k):<\/font> Long stories of any subject or tone.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Introspective:<\/font> A story that gets into the mind and motives of a character &#8211; ANY character, main or supporting.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Waffy Short (1-10kb):<\/font> Story that develops Warm and Fuzzy Feelings.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Waffy Long (11kb+):<\/font> Story that develops Warm and Fuzzy Feelings.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Character Development:<\/font> A story that shows a character\u2019s growth over a period of time.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Most Innovative Idea (Short 1-10 KB):<\/font> Story line that is an original creative idea.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Most Innovative Idea (Long 11+ KB):<\/font> Story line that is an original creative idea.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Comedy:<\/font> A humorous story.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Villain:<\/font> Only villains eligible for this category.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Original \/ Supporting Character:<\/font> Rewards a special character from stories which strongly highlight a supporting character from the series or creates a new, interesting character that plays an important role in the story. No size restrictions. (Sorry, but versions &#8211; no matter how altered &#8211; of Clark or Lois do not qualify as Original or Supporting Characters)<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Relationship (Short 1-10 KB):<\/font> A story that focuses on a relationship (romantic or platonic).<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Relationship (Long 11 + KB):<\/font> A story that focuses on a relationship (romantic or platonic).<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Episode Adaptation:<\/font> Rewrite of an episode.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Revelation:<\/font> Stories which contain a revelation about Clark being Superman. The person finding out can be Lois or any other character.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Alt-Universe \/ Elsewhere \/ Next Generation:<\/font> Alternate Universe OR story where Lois and Clark are someplace else or somewhere else. Story with Lois and Clark\u2019s children.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Drama:<\/font> Story with a dramatic story line.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best New Author:<\/font> Limited to authors who first published their Lois &amp; Clark stories in the past year.<br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\">Best Overall Story:<\/font> A story of any type that is outstanding overall.
